George Ellis Research Scholarship

Must have a minimum of 19 semester courses in a degree program at the time the research is undertaken and have successfully completed a minimum of eight graded semester courses, as a full-time student, in the last two semesters at the University of Lethbridge. A program of research activity must be carried out (under authorized supervision) and completed by April 1st of the academic year following the granting of the award. Holders of research scholarships may be expected to present to the Office of the Dean or the Director a complete report of the results of their research, in a form acceptable to the supervising department. Application may be made for academic credit through Independent Study for work done in fulfillment of the terms of the scholarship. This award (maximum $3,000 – the selection committee will determine the value of the scholarship) is payable upon confirmation of full-time enrollment at the University of Lethbridge in the Fall and Spring semesters immediately following the granting of the award. Selection is by committee and includes evaluation of the student’s academic record, project proposal and letters of recommendation.
