History and Heroes Foundation Award

This award is annually funded by the History and Heroes Fund at the Edmonton Community Foundation. Their Honours, Lieutenant Governor Lois Mitchell and Doug Mitchell, founded the History & Heroes Foundation to advance Albertan’s interest in and knowledge of the history of our province and the history of Canada.

This application is to be completed by students who are currently enrolled full-time (minimum 9.0 credit hours) in any undergraduate degree program at the University of Lethbridge. To be eligible for this award you must qualify on the following:
•Satisfactory academic standing (minimum 2.0 GPA) over the previous fall/spring terms
•Full-time enrollment (minimum 18.0 credit hours) over the previous fall/spring terms
•Demonstrated good character
•Active community service and potential for leadership
•Completed courses in Canada and/or Alberta’s History

The successful candidate’s name will be forwarded to the History and Heroes Foundation who will be responsible for payment. Awards will be distributed by January the following year or earlier.
