Flanagan Graduate Scholarship for Research in Biological Sciences

Eligibility: Students admitted to a thesis-based Master of Science (Biological Sciences) or Doctor of Philosophy program (Biosystems and Biodiversity; Biomolecular Science) in the Department of Biological Sciences. Must meet the minimum expectations for the proposed program or have a very good academic track record with consistently above-average grades in relevant courses; minimum admission GPA of 3.5.

Selection Criteria: Academic achievement and demonstration of research potential.

Payable: Payable upon confirmation of full-time enrolment at the University of Lethbridge in the Fall term or the Fall and Winter terms immediately following the granting of the award.

Selection will be based on candidate ranking developed during evaluation by the School of Graduate Studies for admission to the graduate program. One award will be offered based on the Winter admission intake and one based on the Summer admission intake.

A University of Lethbridge awards application is not required – candidates will be automatically evaluated for the scholarship

This is a renewable reward with a maximum total value of $50,000 ($25,000 per year for a maximum of two years. Second-year funding is contingent upon continued award eligibility and good standing in the program)
