Chinook Life and Climate Awards
Generous donors have contributed to the Life and Climate fund to fund undergraduate research. Students may be eligible for funding if they are undertaking a research project that relates to the study of climate change. Eligible projects may examine the causes, consequences, and lived experiences of climate change and the environment. Examples include (and are not limited to): ecological impacts, atmospheric science, biodiversity, environmental health, climate policy, environmental justice, human geography, sustainability practices, community resilience, historical interpretations of climate, philosophical reflections on nature, or creative works that respond to environmental transformation through visual art, literature, music, or performance. To apply for funding, students must apply for the Chinook Summer Research Awards, and indicate in the application if they would like their project to be considered for Life and Climate funding.
