Mike Shaikh FCA and Linda Shaikh Bursary

Students in the Post-Bachelor Certificate in Accounting (previously known as Professional Diploma in Accounting) and who are changing careers and/or are recent immigrants to Canada. Students must have financial need and meet one of the following: permanent resident or child of a permanent resident who has been in Canada for five years or less; non-Canadian properly accredited to study in Canada; born elsewhere and has become a Canadian citizen within the last five years; or worked in another career for a minimum of five years. Student must have had Foreign Credential Assessment completed by CA School of Business or CPA Canada.
NOTE: students presenting international credentials must have had prior education and experience assessed by CPA prior to applying.

Costs for two courses in the first semester of the award and one course in the immediately subsequent semester payable upon confirmation of enrolment in the CPA Bridging Program at the University of Lethbridge in the Summer, Fall and/or Spring semesters immediately following the granting of the award. To be eligible for funding of the third course, the recipient must achieve a minimum grade of C- in all courses.

Tuition and mandatory fees for up to 3 courses per academic year and the cost of Foreign Credential Assessment performed by CA School of Business or CPA Canada (if applicable).
