Roloff Beny Foundation
Roloff Beny, photographer, painter and designer, has long been famous for his photography as reflected in his beautiful books which include To Everything There Is A Season, his portrait of Canada. He was born in Alberta.
The University of Lethbridge awarded him an Honorary Doctor of Laws in 1971.
Roloff Beny died in 1984. He chose the University of Lethbridge and the UofL Art Gallery as the beneficiary of his estate.
Impact
The award enables students to travel far and wide in search of new material to inspire their photography.
I plan on using the award to travel to San Francisco for a new photographic journey. (Student award recipient 2017)
