In Memory of Isaac Johansen
Isaac Johansen attended the University of Lethbridge pursuing two dreams. His first passion was the pursuit of being an MLB pitcher. He was invited by the Prairie Baseball Academy in Lethbridge to continue his development and love of baseball. His second pursuit was to receive his Masters in Economics. He figured if his brawn didn’t realize the first dream, his brain would help with the second. Isaac passed away in his sleep on July 14th of 2021 never realizing either one of these dreams.
There is no reason for his passing and no filling the emptiness he has left for all who were blessed to know him. He was a fun loving, thoughtful and caring young man who had the ability to make those around him feel cared for and special. Being part of the baseball community was a source of joy for him and he radiated that enjoyment of the game by being a positive, hardworking, motivating influence on those he trained and played with. These traits were directed also into his gift of playing the piano. One of his favourite songs was Lateralus by TOOL. Listen to it!
