In memory of Alan W. Bell

Mr. Alan. W. Bell was a practicing chartered accountant who enjoyed a long association with the Board of the University of Lethbridge during its formative years and made a unique contribution ot the financial phase of the Universitys development. Mr. Bell was involved with the University of Lethbridge from its inception. He was a member of the “instant” Alumni Association and in 1967 was appointed to represent the Alumni Association on the first Board of Governors of the University. He was reappointed in 1970 for a further term of three years and served until his death in 1972. This award was originally established by Thorne, Riddell & Co.

Impact

It is the wish of the donors of this fund that this memorial scholarship may serve a very useful purpose in the lives of young persons proceding to qualify in the profession of Accountancy.
