In Memory of Rebecca Musgrove
Rebecca Musgrove was a compassionate and dedicated nurse who touched many lives through her kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to helping others. Born and raised in Brooks, Rebecca graduated from St. Joseph’s Collegiate before pursuing a nursing degree at the University of Lethbridge. She began her career at Brooks Hospital and later joined the operating room team at South Health Campus in Calgary, where she was known for her exceptional care and genuine warmth.
Rebecca’s nurturing spirit extended far beyond her nursing career. She had a special love for animals, often caring for abandoned calves, injured chickens, or pets needing extra attention. Outside of work, Rebecca loved exploring the outdoors, whether hiking in the mountains, fossil hunting, or scuba diving adventures from Lake Newell to Hawaii.
After a brief but courageous battle with cancer, Rebecca passed away in December 2022 at the age of 32. Her family established this memorial scholarship as a way to continue Rebecca’s legacy, honouring her passion for nursing and helping others. This scholarship aims to support and inspire future nursing students to carry forward Rebecca’s heartfelt dedication to compassionate care.
