Gordon Paterson

An active member of both the Lethbridge and Southern Alberta communities, Gordon Paterson is a former president of the Lethbridge East Rotary Club and has served on the Board of Directors of the Lethbridge & District Exhibition and the city’s chapter of Big Brothers. He has also fulfilled leadership roles with the highly successful 1996 Alberta Winter Games, Sun Life Skate Canada International, and the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Paterson has served The University of Lethbridge as a member of the Board of Governors from 1986 to 1992, Vice-Chairman from 1990 to 1992 and chair from 1995 to 2000. He was also the chair of the University’s Finance Committee for three years, served as the founding chair and trustee of The University of Lethbridge Foundation, and played an instrumental role in establishing the $34 million Library Information Network Centre. Gordon is married to Beverley Paterson whose community involvement activities include membership of the Chinook Health Region Board as vice chair.
